Still going strong May 2, 2010 Karen M. Stampe (Iowa) Can't remember how long I've had this thing and it's still going strong! Love that fact that I don't need any accessories other then the headset. Use it mainly @ work so if needs charged or changed some songs out I don't need anything else besides my computer!
A great starter iPod April 10, 2009 Zachary Schlieder (Sheboygan, WI USA) This was my first iPod and first Apple product. It was a great product. This thing was great for me, as I had less than a gigabyte of music. When my music collection expanded, I moved up to a video iPod, but this thing helped me get started. The shuffle algorithm seemed to be much better than it is now.
One of the best features of this device was its durability. I kept it in my pocket with my keys for a year, and this thing held up just fine. I dropped it innumerable times, but it had so little mass, it didn't matter. This thing even ran though the wash once and continued to work. The lack of screen really made it a great product.
Charging was easy, and battery life was very good. Syncing was fast with USB, and controls were about as good as I could ask for. This was a great device.
HAD IT WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT April 9, 2009 Jessica Sharpe (Unites States) I had this when it first came out, i loved it. I remember listening to it over and over. up side u can shuffle all the songs, you'll never get tired of any song. Down side, their is no way to tell what song is playing or to be able to choose, you'll just have to keep hitting next untill you find the right album, a bit of a nusaince. I replaced mine 2 times it broke. But it holds around 100 songs if not more. I loved it, long battery life. If your looking for a cheap iPod and you don't want to get a new one, get this. Plus it plugs right into the computer no cord needed so you wont lose it. I upgraded to nano, then touch. Love the touch i suggest it.
1st generation ipod February 9, 2009 Sri Kiran K. Botta (usa) I am a great fan of this product since they released it. its a first generation ipod that i always want to carry one with me. i like the style and the ways it is useful. i used to carry one before but someone had stolen it from me i am glad i found it in amazon. you can also use a part of it as usb to store some file and as well as you can listen to music.
Long Battery Life iPod at Low Cost September 12, 2008 S. P. Korn (Cortlandt Manor, NY USA) The dirty little secret about the iPod Shuffle is its extraordinary battery life despite low cost. Simple iPod version without any frills. I have made four trips to Mumbai India from NY and it lasts the entire one-way trip on a single charge...awesome performance. I used Bose headphones for less tiresome noise. And yes the same music repeated. I have another iPod with screen which fails the long airplane trip.
