excellent August 30, 2010 pb I have this hooked up to my car. More than enough space for tons of music and videos. I bought Bose headphones to enhance listening. I highly recommend the combination.
Product Did Not Work, But Great Customer Service to Remedy August 27, 2010 Amber I purchased this item, and found that when I received it and tried to sync it, it did not work properly. I spent a good amount of time on trying to figure out what was the matter with it, and ended up taking it to an Apple specialist who informed me that the item was probably just a little too jostled en route. I contacted customer service to receive an RMA to return the item, and found that the customer service was EXCELLENT! The head of the Customer Service department contacted me personally via e-mail and telephone apologizing for my experience with the product, and not only offered to replace it, but e-mailed me postage so that I would not have to pay. He kept in contact with me the entire way through, and I received a prompt credit to my account, and am completely satisfied with my encounter with the company, Ocean Reef Electronics. Though the item did not work, I have full faith that their business is legitimate (which is something I worry about when doing online anything), and I plan on ordering from them in the future if I find that I am on an electronics hunt.
A GREAT machine August 1, 2010 Timothy Gorka (Erie, PA USA) Look folks, its easy. Just download Itunes, upload your music and plug in this fantastic player.
I bought this in 2007 as a gift to myself before I started college, I dropped it, and its fine. No parts moving, or damaged. Other than normal wear and tear, this is a great, heavy, sturdy mp3 player.
my only gripe is that it does not have a radio, BUT... its so reliable and well built. I didn't have to reset it (with the two top buttons) until 2.5 years after I bought it You can't go wrong with this. Easy software, easy setup with the classic ipod look. I'm going to be using this until it blows up.
also has excellent battery life and durability.
Say what you will about other players having more features, itunes/ ipod classic is consistent and easy to use. No fuss with this baby
seriously recommend this, in the newer models (more memory), but 80 GB is plenty for me.
don't buy!!! July 1, 2010 jack I purchased this IPOD and in less than a week the hard drive in it started making noises and quit working. Apple would not take it back saying that it was dropped or otherwise shaken severely. Since I bought it, I plugged it into my IPOD connector in the car and it stay in the glove box until it stopped working. So unless riding in the car shakes these things too much for the hard drive, they are crap. Don't buy one, stick to the generic cheaper MP3 players, or go with a more expensive one that has the solid state HDD.
a good work horse!!!! May 25, 2010 Andre Dowdell (Deactur, GA) Refurb is the way to go! xfered data quickly not like the used one i bought from someone else on Amazon. Plugged it into my Pioneer head unit Avic-z3 and played right away from my touch screen. I won't eveen take it out! I have 6070+ songs and it plays during my morning commute. My riders love it and it's the best way to go if you want to carry you whole library. Just leave it on shuffle and be surprised! And I might take it on a bike ride sometime too. between this and sirius I am all set for any road trip.. Get one , get one, get one like me.... LOL
