The clear case preserves the iPod's looks. View larger. | The Remix Acrylic for iPod classic by Belkin is a hard case made of clear acrylic that preserves the good looks of the iPod while providing maximum protection against scratches and scuffs. A snug fit means the iPod won't jostle when inside the case and with a very slim profile, it won't take up too much room in your pocket or purse. The clear case means the screen remains fully visible for menu navigation and photo and video viewing. With the revolutionary true-sense click-wheel protection, you still retain full control of the click-wheel and navigating the iPod's menus is a breeze. All ports and the dock connector are fully accessible as well, so you never have to take the iPod out of the case. If you do need to take out the iPod, however, it's a cinch as the case easily pops open in an instant. The Belkin Remix Acrylic for iPod classic is backed by Belkin's Lifetime Warranty.

Nice little case August 11, 2010 Fran C. Wickham (Detour, MD USA) This is a great way to protect my ipod, and I haven't had any difficulty using the ipod while it's in the case.
Completely covered July 9, 2010 Knittycat1 (PA) I got this 12/27/2008 for 160G iPod classic silver. I love it. It outlasted my iPod, which I had to return when something with the earphone went wrong and the volume would not stay constant. I think that problem was related to the earphone going haywire, so I fiddled with it a lot and I think that fiddling made the jack go bad. When I got the new iPod, the click-wheel cover would stick slightly but not too bad. Finally, the middle circle of the cover that goes over the click-wheel that you push to select a choice came off, 7/7/2010, which interferes with use, although I could probably cut it off and keep using it. So, over 1.5 years for a little plastic thingy that I beat up on a daily basis. Not too bad. If I were more frugal, I could probably keep it longer, just cutting off the plastic piece that sticks up.
I am really hard on objects. I drop them all the time. I put it in my pocket and forget and the headphone wire get stuck on something and it crashes on the ground. I take it out gardening and while wearing my dirty garden gloves, adjust the volume and b/c the plastic covers the click-wheel, it doesn't get dirty. I bring it in the car with me and when I slam on breaks it falls between the seats or off the seat. Now that it is getting old, I agree with other reviewers, when I drop it, the top does come off, but my iPod seems fine.
My iPod has a couple scratches that I got when I got the iPod, which I got before I got this clear cover. Other than that, when I take off the cover, it looks like new, without any fingerprint smudges or anything! B/c it is clear, the silver shows through and looks nice. I don't watch movies, but I do play games with the click=wheel and the wheel is slightly more responsive without the wheel cover, but my skill isn't that great that it really makes a difference. I can also adjust the music, volume, etc easily when I am out and about--the same can NOT be said about the plastic pocket Griffin armband thingy I got, with that one you really have to take it out to adjust even the volume. Which is a pain when you are sweaty and trying to run.
I have Ladybug speaker and I keep the case on and it fits in the speaker with the case on, so I literally never have to take it off. I almost want to buy 5 more cases in case they ever stop making this, I think I will get more than one. I thought it did come with a clip to go on the belt, but if it did, it didn't seem very strong although it could have been the fabric I attached it to: I wear a lot of leggings/thin work out pants and those waist bands are not really strong enough for holding the wt of an iPod anyway. So with this case, a lot of time, I stick it underneath my waist band, where it usually stays (but not very secure I do not exercise with it like that, when ex I put it in a pocket).
OK after Mod March 11, 2010 J.A.O. (Louisiana, USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've tried several cases for my 7th gen ipod 160gb, and this is the one I kept going back to. I couldn't really get into the slip-on cases, despite their cool looks, because they attracted lint and had too much of a "grip" factor that made removing/replacing in jeans pockets a real pain. Plus, I like the added protection of the acrylic.
Here is what I like:
1. Slips in/out of pocket like warm butter
2. Feels (and is) durable
3. Does not conceal iPod's appearance
4. Doesn't attract lint to the outside of the case like those silicone ones
Here is what I do not like:
1. For whatever reason, grit somehow gets into the case - I've been wearng a brand new coat this year, but it doesn't matter - grit will still somehow appear after a week or so as if I had spent the weekend at the beach...too strange
2. That pesky membrane. Please read on.
I ended up removing the membrane that covers the wheel with a hobby knife. It is ridiculously frustrating to try and turn the wheel with that thing covering it. Strike that, it's nearly impossible. No wonder they make the case durable - I wanted to throw mine against the wall. Now, you cannot tell there was ever a membrane present on the case. And best of all, I can actually use the wheel!
Fit and look is great, but... November 5, 2009 E. Wilson (FL, USA) I wanted an iPod case for my 80G iPod Classic (6th Gen. originally released on 9/5/07) that fit perfectly, and one that was totally clear. That's exactly what I received. Not only is the fit perfect, but it actually improves the appearance of the iPod with minimal bulk. The click wheel is covered too, which is nice since it protects it without hindering usability. Also, the screen is covered without hindering visibility. Added bonus: it comes with another back that fits the 160G 6th Gen. iPod. My only complaint is that it arrived a little scuffed up. Most of the scuffs are near the top of the screen, so they show up more because it's lighted. I'm sure that this is an isolated incident, and it's no big deal. All in all, I'm very happy with it.
Great for the Money September 5, 2009 Kyla P. I was coerced by a worker at radio shack to by this case to protect the 120gb Ipod Video I was purchasing for them, and I must say it was a good investment. Firstly, the case is clear, leaving the original ipod color and form for all to see. Secondly, my 120gb Ipod fits snugly into the case, making it easy to scroll the wheel while protecting it against scratches and the dangers of it falling (which is how my previous ipod died, unprotected). The only concern I have with the case is the fact that it's plastic. I expected it to be slightly heavier and sturdier than it actually feels in my hand, but as I've had it for a couple months now, it is very strong and durable. I dropped my ipod once on a tiled floor, and as a previous poster said the cover of his fell off, mine didn't. As a matter of fact it didn't even scratch. I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a fairly inexpensive and durable product.
